Quicken Deluxe

Anyone using QD here? Does it reconcile with banks in HK? Would you recommend it to others?

I haven't but would be interested if anyone knows of any software (MS Money?) that can download from HSBC internet banking site.

I bought Quicken Deluxe Personal Finance 2006 and found that it doesn't sync with banks outside of the U.S.

I tried keying in my own data but after 2 weeks it was taking up too much of my time and I gave up with the software.

If you want I can sell it to you for HK$240.

Yea, I've heard so many complaints about QD and MS Money I've been delaying in purchasing either one of them. It's probably even harder to get them to work properly in HK.

HSBC and Quicken (or some other finance software)

Hi- any suggestions on banking software to synch up with HSBC? I've poked all around the HSBC site, and can't find confirmation or instructions on using Quicken with personal banking. (found it for business, but alas, just a regular person at the moment)

If Quicken won't work- has anyone found something that will? (oh, and it would be nice to be able to use it for my US accounts also...) a girl can dream!

Thanks!

I remember that I was looking into this 2 years back and the problem was not necessarily HSBC, but that Quicken can not even deal with HK$ (or other Asian currencies or even multi-currencies for that matter).

I consulted a guy from Quicken Asia about this issue, and he replied that this is indeed a major problem and I should help him to complain to the Australia office, as he was trying to solve this matter himself for a long time. I did this via email, and then the Australia office and this guy started to quarrel via email and push responsibilities - with me in cc!

I found this rather unprofessional and gave up on that matter.
