Does anyone know anything about Ganzhou? A relative just started going to medical school there. We plan on visiting her this weekend. I cannot even find an online map for it. I know its about a 5 hours train ride from the HK-China border. So, we are going to fly.

Any information will help. Thanks a lot!

Don't you mean "Guangzhou"??? Known also in english as "Canton". The biggest city of Southern China.

2 hours by train from HK, direct from Kowloon Hung Hom station. I wouldn't fly if I were you, as train is the most easiest way of getting there.

I don't know of a "Gangzhou", but then again Guangzhou is not 5 hours away from the border either... Perhaps you could verify the spelling of the city, or get it in Chinese, then cut & paste it here?

I am sure it is 'Ganzhou' and not 'Guangzhou'. Ganzhou is in Jiangxi province in China (from the Wikipedia link). Thanks ontheroad!
