Question Jobs for Japanese/native-English translator?

Hello,

My name is Ben, and I'm from the US. I am eager to live and work in Hong Kong... but I don't really know much about how to find a job, or how to get a visa to live there, or anything like that.

Soon I will graduate with a BA in Japanese Language and Literature. I studied in Japan for a year as a government scholar. English is my native language.

I wouldn't mind teaching English, but the standards seem pretty high in Hong Kong with regard to certification and experience and what not, so I'm not sure that would be the best option. I would like to work for a Japanese company in Hong Kong as a Japanese/English translator/interpreter.

Any advice for a young guy eager to live in Hong Kong? Thank you very much.

Ben

hmmm, don't know about corporations but you could always try contacting the International Japanese school in Tai Po. They may be able to provide more information about opportunities (or perhaps have them themselves).

good luck.
