visa

What happens if you have had a working visa before July 1 2003 and give up your job and convert to dependent status now? Would you not be able to work or can you get a dependent-workint status?

My hunch is you'd be treated as a new dependent without automatic right to work. Better go to immig personally and ask - it's too important to leave to hearsay on these boards.

hello

Any new dependant visa applications after the 1st July where the sponsor is on a working visa does not have the right to work in Hong Kong on that visa.
