Hi All,

I am having a tough time in getting a breakthrough in marketing field in HK. I am here in HK on a dependant VISA (Allowed to Work).

Basically, I am Post Graduate in Marketing with 2 years of experience in India at Managerial Level.

Please do let me know if anyone of you are aware of any openings. It would be of great help to me.

Without Chinese it's not going to be easy at the junior level. Your best bet might be to try to find an Indian company that's looking for marketing people here... (without knowing more about what field of "marketing" (which means all sorts of different things to different people) it's hard to be more specific).

Yes. I have already found that without knowing the language it is very difficult to get a decent job. I meant marketing in its real sense (NOT SALES/NOT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT...).

I was working for a leading coffee chain in India handling all the marketing activities for all their stores in Southern Region.

If I have to work for a Indian Company, they would except me to work in Finance, Sales or Business Development. I am not very sure whether I take up such an assignment.

Please do let me know your views.

You can only find a job that requires you to market to expats or Indians. Marketing to the local market is not an option.

Ever thought about marketing financial products to NRI's such as yourself (and maybe a few other english speaking expats).

I don't know if the role suits you or if your profile suits the banks, but it is a hot area with great demand for talent.
