Question about forums

This forum isn't very active. Why don't you put together all 4 the forums under the 'Finance Forum' category? I think you have too many forums on your site, and people don't know where to look, so they think that nobody is posting anything.

Just my 2 cents. Please delete the thread if you want.

Chears.

Submariner is an unknown quantity at this point.
I agree. Too many forums makes this site less user friendly rather than more user friendly. Easier to scroll down a long list of threads rather than clicking on each forum, hitting the back button, then clicking another forum, etc...

i think for alot of us, we simply click the 'latest post since last access' and we don't really care much about which forum it is. 8-P

The number of forums was increased to keep things a bit easier to find.

Having said that, we're monitoring some stats and will consolidate towards the end of the year if we think that there isnt enough traffic in a forum.

I don't log off, so that thing doesn't work for me. Also, by reading the latest posts you might lose the development of the thread? What the discussion was all about?

we don't get a lot of HK related tourism traffic. People tend to visit lonelyplanet and trip advisor type sites for that.

Best we can do is ( http://www.geoexpat.com/forum/forum24.html )

Having said that, HK tourist traffic is not a priority right now on GeoExpat, as we're focused on the longer term residents.

We do have some fun stuff for next year which will attract the people who are visiting for business and pleasure.. i.e. looking for restaurants, hotels, things to do ...

(Three new sites being launched for Hong Kong in Q1 2007... well .. hopefully .. )
