| | | Race around Hong Kong Hey guys,
I was thinking of making a one day race around Hong Kong. It wouldn't be anytime soon, but I thought it would be cool to start off early and have teams in place that go to destinations around Hong Kong and see who finishes first.
I don't have exact details, this is a call for those interested to see if it may be something worth organizing. I think it would be cool to have some sort of entrance fee to perhaps cover transport and prizes or something. Open to ideas.
So who would be interested? If this happens it would most likely not be until January or so.

| | | Is it some sort of triathlon type of deal or would it be just like "we got there first cuz we knew 68X was going to be faster than KCR?" | |

| | | It would involve going to various places and completing tasks and then moving to the next spot as directed and complete more tasks. Basic race from a temple where you get a fortune done to a dessert cafe to buy a slice of cake to a place to play hockey for example etc.
Should be pretty cool if people like the idea and organized well!

| | Chigger, this exists already - next Saturday in Wan Chai... http://www.wanchai.cn
Entrance fee allows each team member to enjoy (?) ten (!) pints.
If I join I will reserve a nice and cozy room in Queen Mary Hospital well in advance....

| | Interesting, but the Wanchai race is just around pubs, whereas what Chigger is suggesting involves a whole variety of tasks (none of which I'm sure involve anyone getting drunk, though that wouldn't entirely be out of the question.... ).
Yes, I would definitely be up for this.

| | | PolyU is organizing that every semster for their exchange students. i was one of them, so i could join this "fun" game. it was quite hectic as you dont have really time to look around. its just like running from one spot to another.
we had tasks like holding a lobster in sai kung with our bare hands, find a hidden temple, who buys the most jade at jade market for 10 bucks etc.
it was kinda fun, but you wont be able to enjoy what you can see. there is no time for it ;-)

I just think it would be fun to do for a day or weekend or something and be able to navigate some of Hong Kong better than before and maybe get some cool prizes. Would love to learn more about the one you were in and any other information you have. I think there should be enough time for people to check out things if they want. They just may not win!
I am going to start brainstorming and getting ideas together for this. Start picking locations etc. Anywho who has an idea/tip/wish let me know via PM and I will reply within 24-48 hours.
