Relocation Companies Recommended?

I've asked the following 3 companies (which I found from this website!) below to give me a quote since I'll be moving to Singapore.
1. Santa Fe
2. Links Relocation
3. Crown Relocation

Has anybody used any of above and how do you find them? I just want a hassle free move.

Read some bad reviews on a local company "Eagle Logistics" but I still called them to give me a quote just for comparison sake. Their service is about US$700 cheaper than the rest and the english used in their quotation was hilarious, so they are definitely off my list!

But looking forward to some comments on the other 3 companies though, thanks!

Santa Fe did a great job with our move...the only downside is they don't take AMEX, I thought this was strange for a corporate relo company, but what do I know...besides this is a VERY minor inconvenience for as easy as they made our move over here.

I used Links Relocations to get here and they were great. A coupl eof friends used them to go back home and they gave them a bagload of Asia Miles which is great. Highly recommended.

Not this is going to make your choice any easier, but I used Crown recently and found their service excellent. I would recommend them highly for a hassle-free move.

Seems like all 3 are good then, thats good news.
Crown's quotation in my case was the most expensive amongst the 3 and Links and Santa Fe were in the similar range.

And yeah, as Lammarite said Links gives away Asiamiles too something like 1 mile for every HK5 (during their promotional period). However, Santa Fe has an online shipping tracking service which Links doesn't. Not sure how important will the online tracking be.

Thanks for all your feedback!

online shipping tracking ? not that bothered with it. we used sante fe to get to HK, it was fine. i knew the name of the ship and looked it up on the shipping line's own website.. only to check it hadn''t sunk of course.

We used Crown when we moved here from Germany. They were a bit more expensive than Sante Fe and others, but well worth the extra money. Nothing broken, very professional, and always available to answer questions during the first year after we moved here. Would suggest you seriously consider using Crown.

I moved from the US a few months back. Apart from local agents in the US, got quotes from these three companies also - and these companies came back with substantially higher quotes.

I had limited time and closed out on Allied Intl in the US (and Allied Pickford here in HK) They did a decent job - still came out with a few pieces scratched and waiting on the insurance. But I did find that two out of these three companies seemed willing to revise their quotation quite a bit to get competitive. A little bargaining (or a lot) never hurt anyone

Cheers, Kram
