Is this song a fair comment?

meanwhile the wii seems to be catching ground even with the older generation. I think I could get my parents into this without a problem.

Hk.Com : played with a Wii for the first time a couple of weeks ago... nice. My 5 year old son enjoyed the bowling game and even did well with the tennis.

When I bought mine, it was for nothing more than a cheaper Blu Ray player. I'm enjoying PS3's functionality for that reason alone. HD gaming feature is really more of a rare "bonus."

I think it's pretty clear that Nintendo won over the gaming market with Wii because of it's simplicity and unorthodox approach to a mass market vs. the select Techno-Geek Mob which gaming systems traditionally target. However, Sony is still a powerful machine and I'm sure I'll eventually use it as a networked entertainment system (for music, photos, etc.) Right now...for me it's basically a Blu Ray player.

If HK had HD TV broadcasts I probably would have saved the money....I think I just ended up buying a PS3 because I was pissed off that they sold me a 1080p TV set while Hong Kong had no programming to show on it!!! WTF?! So I had to justify my stupid purchase of a high-end TV with another stupid purchase of an HD player.

William06, generally speaking SSP will be cheaper and they will throw in extras which Sony would not stoop to. I can't say for certain but the 20GB console may sell fast due to it being phased out by Sony.
