The only thing you won't get in HK is the UK weather.

Tea is quite different taste over there, I would bring some English tea bags. If you like cooking, you may bring your choice of souce ie brown souce, mint source, mint pies ? blackpudding, xmas pudding? Apart from those, u pretty much able to get everything in HK. oh may be a few English DVDs ? may be your choice of medicines ? a few books ? books can be expensive and not wide range of choices.

Two of the biggest jars of Marmite you can find. One for me and one for you!

And none of that poncey Vegemite stuff either!

OTC medicine definitely. If you don't mind shopping in Stanley, kids clothes are cheap.

If you're worried about ID fraud - like everyone else in the UK right now - those £3.99 electric shredders you get at WH Smith or Woolworths will set you back a cool $3-500 in HK... And to think they're made in China as well

English tea and marmite are fine to get here (CitySuper in Shatin does them and so does Olivers in Central).

We bought a toaster within days of getting here and will be getting a breadmaker so we can make proper bread - but again you might want to buy those here rather than shipping them over.

I'd bring a good supply of familiar cold/flu tablets, painkillers etc to do you whilst you find some local brands you're happy with.

But to be honest you can get everything here you could want, so I wouldn't worry about it.
