Rani,
I think you can come up with a more interesting, and certainly more witty way to encourage newcomers to post. Non?

I was a bit dazzled why you'd reply with that - coming right after my post it did seem sarcastic, but it's clear I misinterpreted an otherwise appropriate response.

My apologies, and my bad.

OK, several people in a range of ages have posted saying "let's get together". I'm up for it, and would prefer doing something other than just drinks (though I'm up for a drink now and then) ...a hike down (that should be easy) from the Peak after a weekend lunch up there? or checking out the wooden temple/nunnery at Diamond Hill? a dinner? Indian, or that Korean BBQ place in TST where there is an incredible buffet of stuff to grab and cook at your table...? If the purpose is not the typical "I am in HK doing X can u be a customer of find me one=many" but is instead a break from all that, then..we can get out of the box a bit...IMHO.

The trick with everybody will be timing.

Now it's 11:00 am Sunday and looking for excuses to avoid work and house cleaning for a couple of hours so will likely strike out to explore Kowloon Tong neighbourhoods where there are tree lined streets and low rise buildings...not quite the French Concession in Shanghai...but heck ;-) A mechanism to support spontaneous connections would be cool...

Ciao for now-
John

Thumbs down Happy Hour Friday sounds good.

Happy Hour this Friday sounds good.

I think a bar with more open space (not-a-sit-down-and-talk-place) is more comfortable and sociable. If anyone knows of one, please suggest. I'll be in/near LKF this Tuesday, so I'm going to suggest one maybe Tues. night.

Thanks,
later
