Harbour Plaza Resort City - Any good?

I'm planning to move from UK to HK around April 07 and wonder if anyone or someone you know has lived at this place.

All advice is welcome, thanks.

Thanks for the reply.

I've looked at their site already and seems pretty good, almost everything I need to settle down as a starting point. A lot of people in HK said its far, but to me 30mins away to TST is nothing compaired to me travelling to the city of London, which is like 45mins away.

i actually live really close to that hotel.because i work in the school nearby. I know a lot of people who live in the hotel and they've told me its ok. The area is pretty basic and you have to travel a lot more to get to the centre
hope that helps

Thanks for the reply.

In what way is it basic? Travelling to/from the hotel i don't mind (saying that now, but could be different when I am actually living there). Whats the transportation like from the hotel. I read that they procided shuttle bus to/from for a small fee, which is not too bad.

Hi my husband and myself stayed there for about 7 months when we first arrived in HK and it’s absolutely fine. We had a big room mind you on the top floor with separate bedroom (big comfy bed) but the place is spotlessly clean, has laundry rooms, pool and gym, shopping close by, as is the cinema. They have their own bar if you fancy a drink at the end of a long day. The travel time really isn’t that bad 35 mins I would say to TST. The staff are friendly and helpful and any problems and they are at your door within 10 mins to fix it free Internet in the lobby and easy to arrange it for your room if you have your Laptop (pay for it though). Hope this helps
