Did you fill up the work visa application yourself? As far as I can remember, my employer sent me a pack of stuff to fill up and there was this small acknowledge card that I filled up my address. About a month after I sent in my stuff, the acknowledge card was sent to me with a reference number on it.

The employer sent me the forms that I need to fill up, and I sent back to them after doing so. Upon receiving, they submit to the immigration last TUE Nov/07. What else can I do now instead of waiting? How do I know my case is under revision?
My friend's was submitted mid Aug, and until end Sep when they walked into the immigration, then found out the case is not even reviewed yet. And until now, has not yet approved.

Last Tues? Oh, in that case, you might have to wait for at least a month of so. You might want to give immigration a call or ask your HR department what can be done.

When I call up the immigration, what can I say? Give them my name will do? Or the company name??
I would like to check it out on my own.

But hassling within the first month after your application is submitted is unlikely to achieve anything except irritating them...

Most likely it is your employer that is causing the delay. Don't bother the immigration department. Your employer probably got an 'Acknowledgement Card' along with a letter saying that some documents were missing. When I applied for my Work Visa, my employer got a letter saying that the following were missing (even though NOT asked on the initial application form): had to submit bank statements from the last 3 months, audited financial statement, tax returns, the company's investment plan and development plan for the coming 12 months, company profile, copy of the tenancy agreement of the office and a copy of the service contract/letter of appointment. It was up to me to bother the employer for these documents. The immigration department won't give a shit and will not touch your case until ALL the required documents have been submitted.

So go call up your employer and check on the situation.
