I will be making a run to HK (TST) tomorrow and need some info. I have only been to HK once in 6 months, I live in mainland. I am looking for the following stores.

1. A good bookstore for mags and books in English on the Kowloon side I have been to the bookstore across from the Star Ferry Port.

2. Where is a good pharmacy in TST area? I prefer to buy my meds in HK instead of in the mainland.

3. Can someone tell me a more detailed way to get to the GNC Store that the website says is located at East TST Station, Shop 9? I have never seen it there.

4. Where is the best place to get Western XL Casual Shirts and T-Shirts?

I would prefer to get all this done without going to the Island. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

You're missing out by not coming to the island Here's why....

1. The Fleet Arcade. US mags and books at US cover prices.

2. Well, you're not missing out here. There's a bunch of good pharmacies in Kowloon. Find a fairly big one and they'll be happy to take care of you. There are quite a few in TST, too. My parents aren't in town, so I can't ask em for a recommendation. Sorry! I'll tell you this, though. Shop around a little...you might be able to find a bargain.

3. The GNC store is near the entrance for the KCR trains towards LoWu. You have to go past the turnstiles to where the money changing place is. You'd get a better deal (and better stuff) at Nature's Village, though. Just don't buy the ProLab crap. I personally get all of my protein shipped from the US. I recommend Dymatize. It has digestive enzymes in it, and it even tastes good! No bloat or upset stomach.

4. XL stuff is relatively easy to get. If you wanna save some money, check out Bossini. There are good deals to be had in Wanchai and on Granville Road. Fa Yuen Street has good deals too. I haven't had a chance to check out Sham Shui Po yet though. Haven't been there in a few years...

1. For Books and Mags, have a look at Swindons on Lock Rd. It's a bit more expensive than the Fleet Arcade but has a good selection
13-15 Lock Road, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon, Hong

2. You'll see a number of little pharmacies in TST. I would buy vitamins from one on Hankow Rd, it's a few doors down from HMV. Can't remember the name, I think it was a Fanda.

3. T-shirts, also have a look at Giordano. There's an Esprit outlet also in TST on the otherside of Hankow Rd, near the Starbucks.
