55-60, sometimes more if i have to give seminars...
hearing people say they work 100 hours makes me want to cry. working 55 hours makes me want to cry.

in the US people work 40. they leave the office at 6, and the day is done! when i leave work at 6 i feel like i am being either rebellious or lazy!!

I work at least 65 hours but I don't let my staff work more than 45 because I know they don't want to.

Lots of my staff are just sleepy a lot. Not bad people but they are just sleepy. It's weird.

Not in the tech sectors I've worked in the US ... 80-100 hours a week were fairly common during crunch time.

Yesterday, I was "working" till about 12:30AM at the Fringe .. good thing the boss lady allows me to have a few beers "at work".

I experienced the same.... it is really strange!!
One of my assistants is so damn tired every day, I don't wanna know what she does in the evenings / nights....
From colleagues I also heard that this is a common problem, some ppl. even fall asleep in front of their screens....

Leave at 6 and you look like taking half day off

I always get my 12 hours a day (with 15 min lunch in front of the screens). HK is really a rough place when it comes to working hours - but in general the working atmosphere is good here!

We also have some colleagues taking a nap over lunch and in my long mtr ride home I often feel to be the only one not sleeping (maybe its something in the tea... )

Good to know weekend is here - time to catch up with all the unsolved stuff from this week - and finally sleep long on Sunday!!!

I have been at Cathay for a bit over a month now, and average days seem to be about 12 hours, but then normally nothing on weekends, and nothing after i get home.... this is pretty normal for management and assistant managers do like 10hour days,.... but most of my staff just do their 9-5.30 with an hour for lunch...

weekends are catching up on sleep, and going bush to relax.... sometimes shopping or mall surfing! but only been here for a few weeks, so hopefully will find more things to do...

generally exected that we expats work more, which is why we get paid more!

But in Australia we used to be an average of 40 hours, with a very occasional 45-50 hours, but that was unusual... here the norm seems to be 50 hours or more! But very common and people very friendly and morale generally good, so its okay...
