| Breaking lease - any documents required? I have signed a 2 years lease with 1 year break clause but there's still a long way to go before the 1 year is up and now I will be leaving in Dec. I discussed with my landlord and he has agreed to let me use the 2 months deposit to offset my rent for Nov and Dec. However, when I asked him what are the documents which we need to sign in order to confirm this agreement and to make this break a 'legal' one, he said none and that I can just handover the apartment to him when I leave and that's it. Is this right? |

| Come up with an informal letter saying that neither you, nor the landlord owe each other anything, all dues and claims are considered settled. |
