| | Amazing Race (Asia) Well last night was the start of the Amazing Race (Asia) and it was very disappointing especially Sandy and Francesca (Hong Kong team), giving they should have a big physical size and advantage over other teams, their performance was nothing to write home about. Luckily it was non-elimination. They will have to do alot better next week. As well for the first show, these teams are just too polite and lack the flair, savy and cunninous you usually see from the US reality tv versions who have already set battle-line right from the start. Maybe this Amazing Race (Asia) is lacking something............dysfunctional couples..... stay tune for next weeks Amazing Race (Asia). | |

| | | I think it was a foregone conclusion that Amazing Race Asia would be rubbish- the Macau one was a prime example.
I'm just glad that Team Tripod is out of the normal Amazing race- what an annoying pair!

| | | What's up with the selection of the team from Thailand? Why didn't they pick Thais?
As for the show in general, it's all about the editting...

| | | Yes was disappointing. Worst was the announcer trying too hard to be like Phil (who is fab!). Not a good job. Also, not enough strategic editing and senseless focus on that guy crying as he was coming down on the absail...Must do better. Team HK sucked, although I think once out of Malaysia, they will do better esp. on the physical tasks. | |

| | The first episode was pretty lame. They've got British people representing Thailand, and British people representing Hong Kong, it would have been better if it was actually local people from each of the countries and they had some Japanese and Koreans rather than 2 from Malaysia and 2 from the Phillipines (although Aubrey and Jacqueline must stay, that gives me a reason to watch )
The Sri Lankan guy is the biggest pansy I've ever seen aswell, hopefully they get eliminated this week

| | Did anyone watch last night's episode - feel really sad for Team India - they had the know how, picked the right task etc, but as usual were too "cool" for their own good - didn't read the damn rules! It is getting slightly better viewing as well now. | |

The episodes just look similar with one another, as they always have the same type of stunt: climb something and then scale down from it. Next week (based on the trailers) will be the third episode (out of 6) wherein the racers will do that. I wish they will do more of those which is reflective of the culture of the country they are in. Like, one of the tasks in New Zealand should be to herd 1000 sheep into a pen; or, if it's the season, shear some sheep hair. Right now, I can't differentiate the show from Fear Factor.
