| | | I would bring clothing, cosmetics, any medicines you need, as well as any special mosturizers or anything you use that would not normally come in the place u are staying.
Prices in Hong Kong are good if you are shopping for touristy things or food and many other items.

| | | If you're a shopaholic which I guess most teenage girls are then only take a few changes of clothing with you in an empty suitcase and buy loads of stuff when you're there.
Clothing etc is very cheap compared to U.K especially the designer stuff.

| | | very hard to say My opinion is that there isn't much good shopping here. Most seems to be cheap crap or expensive designer stuff... And the 'in-betweens' like Marks and Spencer (kind of crap compared to US stores) cost like $50US for one simple pair of pants or shirt, which is more than say GAP or the-like in the states...
On how much money to take? Depends, including meals? Including a hotel? Shopping for clothes only? What do you 'need' to buy? Do you shop in luxury stores?
I don't think anyone can really help you answer that question, but think it's safe to say most folks wouldn't leave their country without atleast $200/300US for shopping, etc at their disposal.

| | | Assuming you have a normal UK ATM card then you don't need to bring much cash with you - the best thing is just to use your ATM card here in HK to withdraw money from your UK bank account whenever you need it. There are ATMs everywhere which will all accept international cards (assuming your card has a Cirrus or Plus sign on it). | |

| | | Ignore nick n's comments about where to buy clothes as he's clearly going to the wrong places.
