Question How to answer: your expected salary on hourly basis (events mgt)

i hate that jobs in hk always ask u to state salary expectations! thats such a sensitive area!

i was hoping i might get some insight from u all...particularly in the events management field, for a co. that handles events across all industries

wat is the average full time salary for an events assistant?

also

for freelance/parttime basis - wat is a reasonable hourly rate?
or maybe even a reasonable per hour rate for the media/entertainment field in general

i have had some experience as an events assistant in NY, both for campus organizations and MTV (but not the full on budgeting, handling etc)

thanks guys!

For a project assistant (exhibitions/events) we pay around HK$8,000-12,000 per month, depending on their experience. The moment you talk about active thinking or even handling some budgets it is going up.

For temp assistance we have so far paid about HK$50-150 per hour depending on requirements, experience and especially language skills. But we have not hired any freelancer over a long period, so I can't really comment on that.

For freelance work I would always ask for a bit more (company saves on MPF, medical & can always drop you anytime they want)

u pay peanuts u get monkeys
