For people who want an ice maker or a refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, do most HK apartments have a water line that you can easily access?

I think your bigger problem will be space. Allot of HK apartments/kitchens are too small to accomodate a fridge with water & ice maker. Also, if you rent in a pre-furnished kitchen, you probably won't get a choice on the fridge. You will have to use whatever is there (typically landlords won't change or remove the existing appliances). I have seen some apartments with ice/water fridges, but not many.
