Interview outcome - advice needed.

I am currently working in Singapore.
I recently had an interview for IT position (not development side) in HK with one of
top-5 Investment Bankings.

Eventually, I was being called up for the 2nd round of interview with them last week.
However, ever since then, I haven't heard anything from them and the interview went pretty well..

Do you guys think that I should follow-up with them?
I really2 want this job, but I don't want to be seen as persistent and pastering them
with the outcome of the interview.

Any advices and suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks.. =)

You don't want to be seen as persistent? I thought that was a good quality in the professional world

Call them up and ask, it can't hurt. If you haven't done it yet then they're not likely to think you're pestering them and more likely to think you're keen which is a good thing. Obviously if you call them 5 times a day that's going too far but as you haven't called once yet I'd say go ahead

interestingly, is there such thing as a 'top-5' IB ranking ? 8-)

anyway, just get the HH to bug them for you. unless you went directly to the HR, then call the HR person to check it out. the HR person is not likely to be involved with the decision process so he/she wld not influence the decision even if it is irritating.

and frankly, if u are up to it, u will be employed. why bother to chase the employer. u are not going to change anything in their decision to hire or not hire you by speeding things up

It doesn't hurt to follow up a week to 10 days after you were (presumably) told about the second round. If only to have some idea of the timing, so you make sure you don't have conflicting travel plans. Or so you can claim!
