Does anyone living in or nearby Yuen long? I was just curious about it, because it looks like i´m the only one

erm, Yuen Long is in the NW New Territories, so I don't think CWB is very close at all!

Don't worry GiGi Girl, you could always hop on the 64K bus to Tai Po Market KCR and join some of the people over here in Tai po if you are getting lonely (see the Tai Po thread). And the bus ride through lam Tsuen valley is really nice (takes about 45 mins - 1 hr).

Yuen Long isnt that bad except for the commuting part. Compared with HK/ Kowloon side, the pollution isnt that bad. I live in YL. Unfortunately no Starbucks for any get together, but we do have lots of desserts stores!

Correction: The NWNT are supposed to have the WORST pollution.Yuen Long being the worst. At least that's what some sources say on an overall level.

It shows Sham Shui Po and Kwun Tong as more polluted than Yuen Long, but Sha Tin (East NT) and the Island as less pollution than Yuen Long. Course this is subject to winds etc. Just pointing out though that you may think Yuen Long is better air, but don't get too comfortable.

Euhm...yeah I know. They do not really speak english, but I can speak a bit of cantonese. So I just talked in cantonese or do not talk with them :P

And I am not living there anymore, I am back in the Netherlands. Well when I was in HK, most of the time I wented to kowloon and hk island.

Where do you live exactly? in Yuen long? I was staying in a village :S

Look at the bright side. You can easily get into China! It is no westernized area. I live near the KRC station and rarely spend times in YL as I mostly hit my way to HK side. Sofar I am ok with my place. Are you saying you live at the other side of the KCR station??? Thats far! 968?
