Cool furniture shops

Looking for some modern/contemporary pieces of furniture i.e. European/Italian look. Any ideas of where to look?

Try Horizon Plaza in Ap Lei Chau, it is a big bulding with many floors of different style furniture stores, also one that has contemporary italian furniture, sorry but I do not know the name and the floor it is at, but take a look at the directory brochure when you are on the ground floor of the building.

Horizon plaza is very eclectic and I am sure they will have what you want. However, if you have no luck you can always try Homeworld in Whampoa Gardens - modern shopping centre filled with furniture shops of all types.

Could also try Central plaza in Sha Tin - basically the whole building which contains Ikea is kitted out with furniture shops of all types as well as interior design shops.

Any brand/make in particular? I'm not sure that you will find any European/Italian in Whampoa or Shatin...?

You may find more modern contemporary offerings in Central or Wanchai/Admiralty.

You can certainly find it in Sha Tin, Central Plaza as Pekkerhead mentined - but if you want really big Euro or US style furniture that you cannot find in HK then you need to head to Shenzhen. Near to the airport there are several wholesalers that sell to HK and Europe/US companies. Many items that you simply cannot buy easily in HK and delivery in half the time, at about a third of the price. Delivery costs should be approx HK$1.50 per kilo.

You can take KMB bus #5 from Star Ferry Pier TST. It passes a street of furniture shops near Hung Hom.
