wow, your first post to the forum is about new zealand focus.... odd.

it's on hennessy rd in causeway bay.

Just wondering how you heard about this store if you don't know where it is?

I pass by everyday on my way to work but never been inside.

My feedback is the store is very impressive - in fact I contacted my chamber of commerce (Australian) to see if they'd be interested in doing something similar. I got the impression they felt it was a big investment for not a lot of return.

It's certainly not somewhere I'd go regularly - a lot of the items there I would be more likely to buy at Great or City Super. I don't think - hmm, I need some balsamic vinegar, let's go to Causeway Bay!

But the range of specialty products at NZ Focus is very impressive, and surely it's raising awareness of the nation and its quality products amongst Hong Kongers.

If you ask me it is a great idea in a dumb location. Lots of yummy NZ stuff presented really nicely but while I'm sure the real estate was expensive you don't exactly get good foot traffic or at least not the kind of people the store is geared toward. In saying that it is always reasonable busy when I've gone (I'm from NZ so go to get a few home favourites that Great don't have). I met with NZ Trade & Enterprise who set it up and it is mainly for presenting NZ to potential importers of NZ goods so the retail aspect is secondary. I still think they could have found a better location.

If you still don't know where it is go to Sogo and walk back towards Wan Chai and look for the NZ Naturally ice cream.
