I'm looking for fake grass, like astro turf or something. It doesnt have to be ultra realistic or anything, but I want to get something to work for my balcony to make it look a bit more inviting.

It would need to be outdoor-able so i can leave out in rain and stuff, and would need to cover my whole balcony, so maybe need to have a place cut to size.

any ideas on prices and places and products?

i saw the ideal rug again today...and it was perfect!!!

it was a few shops down from ikea in causeway bay.
it was a little bit larger than my balcony but it was a lime greenish outdoor rug. its hard to explain other than grass thats been flattened out in a curly wavy mess.

they didnt know where to buy, and wouldnt sell it.....so im still on the lookout

If I'm not wrong, 3M makes them. Think they're meant to trap dust. Not sure if they make them in green. Have a look at big supermarkets, they might have them.

i've seen this sort of carpet at wing on, don't remember if they have green though. i think 3M makes them.
horizon plaza has a few shops that sell outdoor things like bbq's and patio sets. "Love That Lifestyle" on the 12th floor comes to mind as they have lots of lawn care stuff... not that you'll be needing that, but they might be able to point you in the right direction for astro turf. Another one to try is "Everything Under The Sun" on the 16th floor, number is 2554 9088. They also have some very nice wooden decking that comes in squares. Might be a bit pricey though, depending on the size of your balcony.
I've just finished getting mine looking nice in eager anticipation of the cooler weather.
