iMac to Philips LCD?

So I just purchased a new Philips 37" LCD with ambilite 2 and Pixel Plus 2 HD.
I already have an Intel Imac Core Duo setup.
I am moving to PI on Friday and Saturday to set-up most of the items above with the delivery people.

I currently have a mini-DVI to S-Video converter and a long s-video cable which works like a charm with my CRT TV. But I am told that s-video to LCD will cause bad color and problems....so:

1. How do I connect my iMac to the LCD TV? What do I need to purchase?

2. The TV will be on opposite side of room from computer, so cord will need to be about 20 feet long. Where can I buy a cord long enough for this?
