What a great idea! That would be a very interesting experiment in Statue Square or Star Ferry Terminal on a Sunday. Think I'll give it a try...

Anyone care to join me? (Safety in numbers right?)

A chinese friend came to my desk as I was watching 'FREE HUGS'

AND he could not understand why anyone would want to hug a stranger on the street.

Told him about Hugs at star ferry on the morrow and he said he would be sure to avoid the place.

i think it'll most likely be a failure if done in pure 'local' hong kong scene...somewhere probably in an area with mixed local and expat passing by is a nice idea....and bring along a camcorder as well so we can document it! we could make a similar video hong kong version!

However, I don't think this campaign will work in Hong Kong. Do let me know if you guys really give it a try.
