| | | | Discovery Bay to Sha Tin? DB does not seem like my kind of place at first glance, but I am tired of my stressful life right now and it seems quite nice for kids and family considering the fact that my husband is often traveling!
How commutable would it be to Shatin? It looks close by car, but it seems that no cars are allowed, so what is the deal?
Your feedback is much appreciated!

| | | Discovery Bay, by ferry, would be about 30 minutes to Central, then you have to make your way to the MTR to cross the harbor (maybe 15 minutes) and then the KCRC (this is all easier than it sounds) to Shatin (another 15 minutes). Easy to do, but I am guessing an hour each way. | |

| | | isn't there still a residents shuttle to tst? if so take it to the kcrc tst east station instead of the ferry/mtr.
otherwise, a bus to tung chung, then citybus E42 to shatin (airport bus, NOT Airbus) is another option, with only the one changeover in tung chung

| | | Thought I remember someone saying the bus isn't much faster than the ferry-MTR routing, so the time to travel might be about the same. | |

| | | the other possiblity would be bus to sunny bay(15 minutes), mtr to kowloon tong(20-25min), kcr to shatin(10 minutes), but yes around 1 hour...
if you're not sure about DB, why don't you come out for a week and rent a short term place to give you a better of whether or not you like it here and whether or not yo mind the commute?

| | | I would choose E42. It takes about 40 minutes for the trip. | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 03:22 PM. | |
