Can my Mobile be used in Japan?

Hi guys,

I'm going to Tokyo for a holiday and I was wondering if my mobile can be used in Japan these days.

I know there's something about incompatible networks, but the new mobiles have so many bands I hear some of them are compatible...ish

Has anyone been to Japan lately and knows about this?

Thanks for any advice guys!

If it's 3G then probably yes. Otherwise almost certainly no.

You can rent a mobile on arrival at the airport.

Then unfortunately it wont work in Japan (or Korea) - it is quad band so will work pretty much anywhere else in the world though!
