Post Kosmo LKF - the coldest place on earth

Fellow Geoexpaters, I call on you to join me in a campaign, for the Warming of Kosmo. It may not be as serious an issue as global warming, but for me today, as I prepare to meet a friend there for lunch, and reminisce on previous glacial experiences over delicious Kosmo smoothies, it seems more pressing.

The air conditioning on the upper level of Kosmo is always set to freezing. I know I'm not alone in this belief, as on more than one occasion in the joint, complete strangers have turned to me, desperate for consolation, and muttered between blueing lips - "it's freezing!". And no matter how many hoodies I pack when I sense a Kosmo visit may be on the horizon, I just can't seem to get warm enough.

"Why don't you just ask them to turn it down?" I hear you ask. Well, I have done so, twice, which is the maximum number of times I feel I can do it before they bar me from the venue. I now call on fellow sufferers of the antarctic chill to spread the embarassment around by asking staff on each visit, if the air conditioning is as bad as I'm making out, to turn it down. Soon, surely, they will tire of our requests and the temperature within may one day rise above 20 degrees celcius. I believe we can make a difference.

Thank you.

grandcider is on a distinguished road
It's not just Kosmo. Half the coffeeshops/restaurants/cinemas I go to are freezing as well. It seems I have to endure more cold temperatures in the summer than in winter.

I believe this is a technique for the restaurants/shops to discourage customers from lingering. Faster table-turnovers = more customers = profits.

Hmm... how do you think they'd feel if I plugged in a little bar heater?

I think part of the reason they keep it so cold is because a lot of people walk over from California Fitness, and they need the AC up high to keep them from sweating.
