Releasing goldfish

Anyone know of a pond where I can release my goldfish as I will be relocating overseas. A local fish seller told me there is a park near the LKF hotel but I'm not sure where it is. I live in Midlevels West/ Sheung Wan.

Thanks!

CausewayBay can only hope to improve
Contact the animal humane society for suggestions. after years of service to you you are dumping them in a pond? how about giving them to a friend or a kid who will be more than happy to provide them a good life and receive the same enjoyment you got out of them? Take them with you? Doesnt seem that difficult. I feel sorry for your fish.

CausewayBay - for feng shui reasons I would prefer to free my fish rather than pass them to another owner. It is equivalent to giving someone else the good fortune and luck you received from the goldfish!

Petesy is on a distinguished road
So you'd rather let your fish die than to get them a good home for feng shui reason?

I don't even think it's legal to release your fish in public parks.

What makes you believe that the fish is going to die in the pond? I would think that a pond in the park is about as good a place as gets for a fish - probably much better than the current fish tank.

How about Hollywood Road Park. It's very close to you on the Western end of Hollywood Road at the top of Sheung Wan. They've got a pond there with fish in it.

pollution etc, crap dumped into ponds and so forth.

Also your fish could be carrying a disease/infection which could spread and kill off everything in the pond.

Thanks for the suggestion Lammarite and Nation.

For those concerned about the welfare of the goldfishes, dont be - they will be free to swim in a much larger area. In any case, the conditions they are sold in the first place in HK are much worse.
