Hi! I'm new here. I had a pending employment visa application in HK (sponsored by HK company). I had it submitted March 24, 2004. Immigration people told me that visa processing will take 4-6 weeks that's why I went back to the Philippines. I am planning to go back to HK to check on the status on May 6... 6th week is on May 10. Do you have any idea if there will be results by the time I go there?
Once you submitted your application, you will receive a tracking number from the immigration department, a postcard with that tracking number will be sent to your sponsor, he or she will be requested to provide additional information, documents if required, you can ask your sponsor first if they have received the post card, and ask
the immigration department on your application status with the tracking number
Hi Kervin! Thanks for the info. anyway, is the tracking number you mentioned the number given by the immigration? I have a reference number attached to my passport (its a piece of paper with reference number for employment visa but its not a postcard). There's the reference number and it says do not remove from the passport. I am just wondering if its the same. Thanks in advance and I hope you could give me more info about this.

Could you pls advice how to get residence permit in HK ? my company is representative (from outside HK) which recently establish in HK ? we do have some employee which are hongkongnese, and I am the one who represent from the head office.
