Another where to stay question but help would be appreciated

Hi! I'll be moving to HK on Wed. Living in a hotel first, then hopefully find a place to stay. Not bringing much with me, just 1 piece of luggage since my country's just a budget flight and an hour and a half away. Looking for a place to stay that's safe and affordable maximum of 6-7000HKD, preferably cheaper (really want to save my money for other things). Don't mind sharing either but it'd be good to get my bearings of HK first before I share.. I'll be working in Kowloon at Hung Hom. Any suggestions? Is NT too far? I've seen apartments for 4,000 but i don't know if the saving is enough if I have to spend on the commute everyday. Would appreciate your advice, thanks

You can try the old building in Hung Hom. You should look at the small flat in Kowloon side for your budget.
