I am frustrated but know that the folks on this forum will help.

Both my wife and I have acquired Nokia mobile phones with 3 as the service provider.

The annoying thing is that the ring tones are rather snazzy for me especially as my phone buzzes all the time at work.

All I want is the simple ringtone that used to be on all mobiles rather than all the funky tunes that I have.

I know that you can download but call me a dumb arse (I am the pre-mobile phone generation !) becuase I don't know where to find the ringtone and then how to download it.

I have googled but can't seem to get thru the zillions of tunes...


Can anyone recommed or even send me a NORMAL ringtone ????

Discobay / Katanga : thats the ring I had on my old sony .. the good old electric bakelite phone ring tone.

Trust me, after a while it annoys the folks around u.

Personally I use Jack Bauer's CTU ringtone.

yep - the old style ringtone will do me just fine or any other monotoneous ringtone.

Planning to walk down to the 3 shop today.

I still need to be eductaed on how to download and what tone to download...

your phone shld come with maybe 10-20 default tones, most of them are pretty innocent right ?

belive it or not...NO !!!

All new Nokia's have about 20 tunes which are all not std. phone rings.

I went to the # shop and they said they only have musical tunes.
