International Placement firm in the US

Hi,

Does anyone know of good/reputable international placement firm or recruiters willing to help people in the United States to locate job opportunities in HK?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

thank you.

oops, sorry... missed the most important information. My background is in IT, specializing in software development, UI, database management. Currently working on government contracts, but I wanted to move into commercial industry, to be more specific, finance or banking industry.

thank you.

Smile Just a quick addition...

Hope you don't mind me jumping on your thread ..

Am also looking to move from the UK... Does anyone know of a good recruitment company in the UK that places people in HK too? same kind of experience (10 yrs IT, Oracle, Java, Web services, databases etc..) .. looking to move over there either for a contract or permanantly for the right work..

Any thoughts? Maybe we should have a list of good recruitment agencies that help people from abroad find a job..

Kind Regards
A.

2 suggestions..

hong615 - I have spoken with this company before
junosystems.com

They have positions in NY, Tokyo and Hong Kong. They didn't place me anywhere but they mentioned positions at some major investment companies such as Goldman, Lehman, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup.

I thought MichaelPage.com might also work but I checked their HK page and didn't see any tech jobs but might be worth a quick check yourself.

I noticed that HSBC has tons of job postings on their website, I don't know what kind of company they are from an employer standpoint but thought I'd throw that out there.

aceuk - Sorry, I dont know any UK companies but maybe michaelpage?

this might be a pretty stupid question, but anyways, should i be contacting the US side of those agencies or the HK side?

depends..

hong615 - for michaelpage, I'd contact their HK office because it's a big organization and each office is run regionally from my experience with them. for juno, I'd contact their NY office since they work with their overseas office closely.
