Great hike last week end. But next one will be much more tough! lol

It would be great to have a Barbecue on the beach.
I propose a beach meeting starting in late Saturday afternoon, followed by a barbecue for dinner, and for the following we'll improvise.
Are there any "wild" beaches where we could do a real fire?
Do we have a guitar player, to play around the fire camp?
And why not a night on the beach, it is A.....'s birthday after all!

Although I don't know if those kind of things are possible in HK, it is just a few proposals!

Well, on Saturday I am afraid will not be possible to go to the beach because it seems there is a huge party organized and everybody would like to go there, correct me if I am wrong

But on Sunday... Is my BIRTHDAY!!!!! And my dear Athena proposed to go and have dinner together to a brazilian. It sounds great to me and I hope you can join (frenchies, I know you cannot...)!!!! See more details in the thread: ALEXIS' BIRTHDAY DINNER - 1 Oct., Sunday

I think Arnaud's idea of chilling at the beach + campfire is cool, and I think it's possible, maybe in a beach in Sai Kung.

I hate to bring this option up so soon after our waterfall hike... but there's Tai Long Wan (Big Wave) in Sai Kung Country park where we could have the campfire. The catch: we'll have to do some hiking to get there and back (ergo, we can't possibly lug our BBQ supplies and beers around for a couple of hours). There's a great view of the mountains and sea though.

Not sure if any other beach where we can do both BBQ and campfire? if not this weekend, hopefully the next time around!

I'm interested in hiking. Yet i'll have tennis class at 6pm in kowloon city area. Can i join the hiking and still make the class? Puzzled? How long will the hiking take? 2 hours? Are we going to meet at 11:00am? TST KCR station? (I joined as a member because of this waterfall hiking event)

No my birthday is not yet. pretty soon though...

For the beach thing, I wonder if there will be enough people and enough time to organize for this very week end.
If we sleep on the beach, we'd better have some tents... and I don't have one.

But we can keep the idea for a following week end, for sure ! With a better preparation!
Unless many people are motivated for the beach thing, otherwise I guess we can go to the HKchigger party on Sat evening this week end.

And sorry Alexis, we won't be able to come at your birthday party on Sunday evening, as we go to Shanghai for a one-week holiday !!
