My wife is trying to apply for a Goods & Services Tax (GST) ID number for her company here in HK. Does anyone know where she can go to get info about this? Any government websites? Thanks in advance for you help.

Well, there is no GST in HK... The Govt is still contemplating in that area..

She needs to apply for a GST ID number for her company so that her company can buy and sell. I was not refering to the GST that the government is trying to implement soon. So you are saying a trading company here in HK does not need to get a GST ID to buy/sell???

GST does not exist in Hong Kong, and so nor do "GST IDs" (whatever they are where you come from). So your question is meaningless.

If you are running a business then you need a Business Registration number.
