I cannot stress the importance of networking enough (that is unless you work for an international firm with a HK base and can get a transfer)

My story is this, I was in HK about a month or so ago wanting to try my luck finding a job whilst there so sent through my cv's to a few companies with no replies whatsoever. I met some friends who then introduced me to either their recruitment agencies or passed my cv on with a note to people they know and I had more response that way.

And now I'm off to HK.

Employers will pay the headhunters for their services.

The employment page of the company I'm working for. See if any job openings that interest you.

Alternatively, hang around this website and ask for leads. Hubby got his job this way!

Yeah, I found it pretty hard to find a job when I am not in HK. I am still trying at the moment. How long have you been applying, pondok?

well, about 2-3 weeks...
i guess it's quite impossible to do it from overseas, esp when the employer can't be bothered contacting you thru email, as phone is a lot faster..
well i'll keep on trying
good luck to you
