HK Urban Design: Thoughts?

How pleased are you with HK's urban design?

One thing I notice is that in many places, it seems like vegetation is simply not allowed to be. I will notice a wondrous tropical plant popping up out of the concrete, and wonder to myself, why dont they let more of it come out!? HKs natural beauty should be integrated with the urban design. Places like HK, Victoria, and Kowloon park are great, however, and provide a wonderful respite from the city. I loved having lunch and dinner breaks in HK park, so beautiful.

As for Central, I really love plaza in front of the HSBC building. That is simply the most amazing collection of skyscrapers I have ever seen, and the devotion to public pedestrian space makes for a great place to spend leisure time. Ditto for the cultural center in TST, which provides the best skyline view in the ENTIRE world.

More thoughts later. Add on...
