Smile Moving to Hong Kong - HELP

Hi guys, sitting here in the uk staring at my computer and wishing it was Friday!! I am moving out to Hong Kong in January to assist with the set up of recruitment office. I have no idea where its best to rent i.e. location ..any ideas ????

Best route would be to get a serviced office and serviced apartment for the first few months until you get settled in.

A serviced apartment for a month or two is the way to start. You'll need to get the lay of the land and see / hear / touch / smell the neighborhood you are going to live in for your time here.

My advice is since you are just staring at the computer, come up with a list of things you need to think about:

Rent
Moving Company
Visa
Bank Accounts
Taxes
Mobile Phones
Computer / Electronics
Furniture
Weather
Travel...

etc. And then do a very specific search of these message boards for each of those topics. I can pretty much guarantee you'll find everything from "Which Moving Company should I use" to "Where are the Arsenal Fans in Hong Kong". And of course, if you have more questions, post them here.
