Question Christmas 2006 in Hong Kong - Advice!!!

Hi Guys,

I have been in Hong Kong since January '06 and as this will be my first christmas over here i was wondering what goes during the festive period. I am particularly interested in Christmas day and Boxing day. I am enquiring early because my parents will be in town and i really want to have things organised before they arrive. I mean, do places tend to close over Christmas, as they do in England? Do i need to book a restaurant well in advance? Which restaurants do a decent Christmas dinner?

Any advice would be much appreciated

Cheers
Alex

well, pretty much half of the entire hk population will be out on the streets, while the other half will be traveling overseas.

Which means, they are walking on the streets. Nathan Road in TST will be closed for cars, neighboring roads probably as well. MTR-Exits are one-way only. I think, this was on Christmas Eve, haven't been there many years.

Christmas in Shopping Malls starts soon. But shops will still be open late at night on Christmas Eve and all other days.
