I am trying to plan a weeks trip from HK to Beijing and Shanghai, possibly including Xian but not sure yet.

Can anybody give me some good and reasonably priced places to stay in Beijing and good places to go?

i could spend an entire week in beijing...there's so much to see!

Thanks for the tips, will try and do as much as possible when are there but think we might have to visit again!!!!
