Am i able to apply for hkid

ok...dis will sound kinda messy...

well, my biological mother died when i was 6. my dad subsequently re-married. my stepmum is from hongkong. she holds a hksar passport and was born in hk.

my familty moved to hk wen i was 8 but we left wen i was 10 back to australia.i am now 17.

my s.mum now works in hk, and i would like 2 join her. what sorta visa shld i apply for??...will i b able to get a 'right to abode' thing??

Best way to find out is to apply to see if you qualify. The Immigration dept are open about this sort of thing and maintain that it is the right of everyone to apply to see if they have the right to ROA or RTL. No harm in trying, it may take a few weeks but you will get a definitive answer (against which you can also appeal).

In the meantime couldn't you apply for a dependent visa and have your step mom as your sponsor?
