well, from the infrastructure perspective, the person that put the station in the tunnel wld expect an annual return on the antenna and transmittor. he will charge CSL or whoever it is for usage on an annual basis.
annually there wld be capex (capital expenditure) for the replenishment of parts and etc.

CSL wld top it up 100% and evenly charge all the subscriber.

of cos these are all the excuses they give for making more money out of u.

Cheapest pre-paid cards! Now that's another can of worms! CSL, 3, New World and Sunday all do pre-paids for less than $50 but you really have to read the small print - call charges, SMS charges, etc. I have never used a pre-paid card but I do know a few people who walk around with several cards on them and use them at various times of the month to save a few bucks. Why, I do not know!

I am expecting a visitor who will only stay for a few days. Thought I would do the right thing and get him a local sim card. Only need it for local calls no frills necessary.

Choices with the main providers are:

3 - $48 card for local calls, calls are $0.14/min, $98 for local, IDD and roaming, call are $0.19/min

CSL - $48 with 96 local mins included and all local calls after $0.50, or $88 for 176 mins included and call after being $0.50. These are both able to do IDD as well and international sms.

Sunday - $48 off peak local calls $0.06/min, peak $0.12/min, can be used for IDD and international sms.

Peoples - similar to Sunday

NWM - $28 includes 60 mins local calls, can do IDD and international text. They do several other cards as well.

Voda - $68 inlcuding $68 worth of calls, $0.15/min after.

Cheapest to plug and play seems to be NWM if you want no frills and your vistor is only here for a short while.
