| Job hunting in a week - IT (Networking) field
Hello,
I´m going to be in Hong Kong next month for a week visiting relatives. Sometime during our trip planning process, I got the idea of working a few years here. So, my plan is to line up interviews and what not for the week that I´m going to be in Hong Kong.
My biggest weakenesses are that I would require a work permit and that I can only speak Cantonese (at a basic level). I can´t read or write in Chinesse.
I have been working in the networking field (routers and switches/Internet) for over 6 years in both technical and managerial positions.
Posts that I have read suggest that one must be in Hong Kong in order to job hunt. Is my plan to job hunt in a week realistic? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your replies. |
