Where can I buy limes?

Where can I buy limes relatively near Sheung Wan / Central? Fresh limes, that is, to go with my vodka and soda water

Er, any branch of ParknShop, Wellcome, any corner greengrocer's stall, or (if you want to pay a bit more) City Super.

In other words pretty much anywhere that sells fruit!

Not so

Neither Wellcome in Queens Rd Central Sheung Wan sell them, nor the Park n Shop in the same street. Also, I've been keeping my eye out for them in all the roadside place that sell fruit and haven't seen them anywhere. I was beginning to think limes were considered some sort of "exotic" fruit in HK.

By the way, on the subject of exotic fruit, it's great to be eating bananas again. In Australia there was a cyclone/hurricane/whatever you want to call it that wiped out ninety-something percent of our banana crop a few months ago and the Prime Minister promised the banana growers not to import any bananas. The result is that bananas are about HK$90 a kilogram in Australia at the moment!! Which means no-one is eating bananas.

ballerina is on a distinguished road
I found some limes the other day in the side street wet-market when you walk down fron Soho. I hope you know what I mean since I do not recall the street name. There where very few though, and you may have to ask for them.
Good Luck, and enjoy your Gimlet!

Hmmm...actually I don't really know where you mean. Well, I know where Soho is but I haven't actually been there yet this time - only arrived in HK 6 days ago and been very busy this last week. But I was planning on hitting Soho this weekend so I will keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the tip.
