Core 2 Duo notebooks

Has anyone seen any good core 2 duo based notebooks in HK?

Wandered around Windor house looking for them, but did not see anything based on the Core 2 CPUs.

Dell has them for sure. Just checked out their US and HK sites. Both offer 'em. Dell has an insane 20.1" screen XPS laptop...wow. I'd like to see someone whip one of those out at Starbucks

Found them .. I was ignoring the obvious choices as they were not marked as "New with Core 2" .. just said "Dual Core".

Oman Mercenary has pissed of a few people
Wink Lenovo T60p dual CPU's

Both my HK-UST student daughter & I acquired the top of the range T60p computers with fingerprint ID offered at the recent "RoadShow" at HK-UST.

They cost us HK$13,956 for the "standard 1GB of RAM - to which we added a further 1GB of Kingston @ HK$650 a pop!

My daughter seems very satisfied with her new computer - & I reckon that mine works a bit (not sure how much) faster than my IBM T42 from a couple of years ago - pre dual core of course!

Now, I have a "nice" problem - who will buy my almost unused T42 ?

Answers on the back of an envelope - and voiced to 2577-5777

alexdicker is on a distinguished road
Why not a macbook. They are the talk of the century!!! They have an intel 2Ghz core duo processor. It may not have the 20.1" screen but it has great performance and is thin and sleek. As well as this you have an inbuilt webcam (isight) which you can use to talk to others and take photos. It has a DVD-R/RW that burns up to 4X speed.
