no bruin, many nationlities can get a visa at the border, i did the last time i crossed (CDN passport). the office was upstairs AFTER hk immig. counters. it took about 10 minutes and cost $150.

not sure if NZ can do it or not. i think they can. last i heard, it was USA & Brits could not... along with a few african countries....

And, as an interesting factoid, I am told that there is no border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Apparently, borders separate countries, but Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and the rest of China are all one country, so the official name for the border is the "Hong Kong-Shenzhen Land Boundary"...

No problem with Brits getting a Visa at the border, cost is $450.

Are you in NZ or HK?
Is this a Shenzhen only, or mainland visa?

I am a New Zealander.

I have been to Shenzhen and have got one day visas before. They were about $150 a year or so ago.

If you are going more frequently or to mainland then I suggest consider going to the China Immigration (or via agents) and getting those.
Also, the price in HK is a lot cheaper than getting in NZ (if you have time).

Thats a different thing. A border visa at Lowu is for the Shenzhen SEZ only. They will need a China visa if you want to visit Bejing which you will need to get done at travel agents or CTS, etc.
