>> does the interest free period matters so much ?

you can compare it to cash loan rate instead of deposit rate make you happier

so are the very low rebate rate too

it is still a great mystery why it does not work before.

UOB interest free period has been cut down many days, less attractive than before

now best rebate options
Standard Chartered AE
DBS Bank VISA Credit Card
But is the card still available?

I'm still thinking about applying and seeing what happens.

Yep, cheers. Am still tempted by the Citibank offer for the Asia Miles.

BTW looked at DBS visa credit card, but couldn't work out the rebate details.

asked DS this morning

5% rebate for 12 months only, after that no more rebate

- plus every month at least once retail sending using the card

- plus $20 fee charged by Octopus for transfering bank doing auto-add value

-----

will have some gain for one year , but take the trouble to apply and later stop using the card after 12 months

i better stick to my own cards

that's SOOO stupid. so there is a $20 transfer fee each time? that means you need to add 500$/transfer to benefit from the 5%. then u'd have to use ur octopus for everything like paying for groceries to add up more rebate. that's kinda dumb.

No - the $20 is a one-time setup fee for automatic add value...

well then that's not that bad. but still have to put in 500$ to finally get the actual rebate out of it.
