john mac will become famous soon enough
I moved here from Australia and have been here in the area 7 years.
For an american style place try the bar in "OUTBACK" Discovery Park.
Outside on Castle Peak Rd, try Olive Bar, good for cheap beers and ok snacks.
There are more bars in the centre of Tsuen Wan.
A mini bus to Wanchai, takes 20 mins and costs $17. It leaves near Fuk Loi Estate.
Plenty of choice there.

I was brough up in Tusen wan. I don't remember there was any decent places to hang out. In my memory there were many chinese ginger blond looking cool (they think) who needed a good hair stylist. Perhaps things have changed ? not sure.

Not the hub of entertainment in H. K. I am sure. Just suggestions to a question that was asked. The mini bus can be a good option.

Big drugs bust

Just heard on the news something about a big ketamine drugs bust in Tsuen Wan today.

Been there on occasion. Got some relatives there and we like always go the same restaurant on family dinners. Seems ok place, if shopping is what you are looking for.

For nightlife etc, LKF, Wanchai, etc are the places to chill.

TW is fine. olive's a nice place, just west of the MTR station. there's Discovery Park too...john mac covered all that.

it's a nice place overall but keep in mind on the flight path into Chek Lap Kok so lots of planes overhead.
